The Series 16 is a commercial, cast-iron, gas-fired, hot-water boiler. The Series 16 is designed for use with a conventional chimney. The boiler is packaged with an electronic ignition system and has the option of either natural or LP gas. The Series 16 is available in firing rates from 325,000 to 585,000 BTU/hr.

The Series 16 is shipped as a semi-packaged boiler with the boiler sections, base, and flue collector preassembled; final assembly is then easily completed in the field.

  1. Ratings shown are for installations at sea level and elevations up to 2,000 feet. For elevations above 2,000 feet, ratings should be reduced at the rate of 4% for each 1,000 feet above sea level.
  2. Consult the manufacturer for installations having unusual piping and pickup requirements such as intermittent system of operation, extensive pipings systems, etc.
  3. Net I=B=R ratings shown are based on normal I=B=R piping and pickup allowance of 1.15.
  4. Maximum allowable working pressure is 50 PSI

1. Not for direct installation on combustible flooring. A heat shield is required and available for installation on combustible floors and on concrete floors which are over a material that is subject to melting (PVC, PEX Radiant Tubing, etc.). Not for installation on carpet even with a heat shield.
2. External draft hood supplied - may not be cut or altered.
