Crown heating products are well made and designed for years of trouble free service.
But if unexpected breakdowns should occur, you may find dealer service calls and parts can be costly.
Consider these benefits of Crown's Extended Warranties:
You are fully covered for the cost of both parts and labor on qualified repairs to your CROWN heating product for your choice of Five or Ten full years after installation.
There are no deductibles to pay, and no limit on the number or cost of repairs.
The repairs can be performed by your installing contractor, the same company that you chose to perform the original installation and to provide your routine maintenance.
If a problem occurs during the coverage period, just call your contractor; he’ll take it from there.
Coverage can be transferred if your home is sold, which will add to your home’s sales value. |
Thank you for your recent purchase of a new CROWN heating product
That was step one in assuring years of reliable warmth and comfort. We recommend that you begin by reviewing with your installer the operation, maintenance, and servicing requirements described in the owner’s manual. Regular maintenance and service are very important to the long term efficiency and reliability of any heating unit.
Next, we urge that you review the enclosed Warranty and promptly return the completed Warranty Card to CROWN so that we will have you in our files as a registered owner.
CROWN’s Standard Parts Warranty is comprehensive
CROWN boilers carry a one-year warranty on component parts supplied by CROWN, and up to a lifetime warranty on the cast iron heat exchangers, Mega-Stor stainless steel tank and coil and stainless steel burners. The homeowner is responsible for labor costs.
CROWN’S Extended Warranties cover
Periods of five or ten years starting on the day your boiler, furnace or indirect water heater is installed.
All functional parts supplied by CROWN as original equipment that are found to be defective in materials or workmanship.
Labor to replace defective parts.
Allows the purchase of additional coverage for the parts supplied by your contractor that are not part of the CROWN product.
CROWN’s Extended Warranties are available from your installer
To obtain this beneficial coverage, contact your installing contractor no later than 3 months after installation. Your contractor will contact CROWN for agreement forms and program details. Our Customer Service folks will assist your contractor in the simple enrollment process.
Adding to your home’s value
If you sell your home at any time while a CROWN Extended Warranty is in effect, you may transfer the warranty to the seller for a $10 transfer fee. Since our heating products are important assets in your home’s value, the warranty’s transferability adds to your home’s sales value. CROWN’s Standard Warranty is not transferable.
Exclusions from extended coverage
The extended warranty does not cover parts or labor for the field piping or wiring of controls done by the contractor. This may include water feeders, thermostats, relays, zone valves, additional circulators, expansion tanks, piping, valves, fittings or external wiring. Also not covered are cabinet paint, rust-out, oxidation, any item added to a CROWN product not specified as original equipment, man-made cabinet damage, failures due to acts of God, commercial boiler use or dry-fired boilers, nor the costs of normal maintenance and cleaning or overtime service.
If you want to extend your coverage to include these accessory parts and labor, you can purchase an add- on to your CROWN extended warranty.

The importance of regular maintenance
Even heating products as well made as CROWN’s require regular maintenance to assure that they will run smoothly, at peak efficiency and provide the comfort and reliability you need. CROWN Extended Warranties are an extended product warranty, not a service contract. They do not cover the cost of regular maintenance and boiler cleaning. We recommend that you have your heating products serviced at least once a year, particularly in the fall before the winter season begins. Regular maintenance is required to make certain that repairs are covered by the CROWN Extended Warranties.
